What type of ink should I use with dip pens for calligraphy?

When using dip pens for calligraphy, it is important to choose the right type of ink. Calligraphy inks, such as India ink or acrylic ink, are ideal for dip pens as they provide rich, vibrant colors and excellent flow. Avoid using fountain pen inks, unless you are willing to thicken the ink, as they are typically too thin and may not provide the desired opacity. There is always an exception to the rule. If you are using a dip pen with a glass nib, fountain pen inks work just extremely well with glass nibs. At Provincial Mills, we offer a range of high-quality calligraphy inks in various colors to enhance your writing experience.
